Deborah Taylor LCSW-C, Trained EMDR Therapist
I am an LCSW-C board-approved supervisor, who works with individuals with trauma, grief, hoarding, substance misuse, and eating disorders. I have experience working with veterans, older adults, and LGBTQ+ individuals. I also have experience working with adults who have extensive histories of trauma from multiple cultures.
I believe that, through a collaborative therapeutic relationship, individuals can live fulfilling lives, and heal from old wounds that are impacting their relationships and well-being.
I have been providing supportive counseling for 15 years and have spent a significant portion of my career working with individuals that come from marginalized backgrounds.
I believe that we all deserve love and autonomy, and we all deserve to feel heard. As we process our experiences, it is healing to have an empathetic listener who helps you to change your perspective and gain a better understanding of yourself. I enjoy listening to people’s stories and affirming the tremendous gift they are to our community.
I believe there is no cookie-cutter therapeutic approach and I tailor my techniques to my client’s needs. I incorporate principles of EMDR, harm reduction, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care.
I work to create a safe space to help my clients grow and lead fulfilling lives.
